Ideally, I'd have liked to see two graphs for each card, one for stock and one for OC'ed speed, with the clock speeds in the card title and the percent improvement over stock speed right after the OC'ed speed bar. Sure, you've covered this earlier in the article, but it's a long article, and there's no point in forcing people to continually flip back and forth when it's relatively simple to add this data to the graphs. But if you can add two lines of description for each card (which it looks like you have plenty of room for), I'd amend the review.įor future overclocking reviews, I think it'd be much more useful to at least show the percentage improvements in both clock speed and framerate in the game benchmark charts. If the Flash format is preventing you from doing so, then changing it should be a priority. In fact, not indicating both the clock speeds and the fact that the cards were overclocked on each benchmark graph seems like a gross oversight. If the samples were sent to you by each AIB, that's even more worrying, as who's to say they weren't cherry-picked? I hope people aren't getting the wrong impression of anyone's performance based on a single sample's overclocked performance in only three benchmarks. These cards didn't use DDR-II and were clocked much lower than their bigger brothers. Overall, this is a very impressive 5700 Ultra card.įor completeness, we wanted to include some 5700 non-ultra solutions. The memory and core clock speed were high as well. This is a very good 5700 Ultra, posting consistently high scores while remaining very quiet. If demand out there gets large enough, it is good to know that MSI is working on the issue. MSI has mentioned that it's possible for passive cooling solution to end up on more cards than just this 5600 in Japan. This is a passively cooled 5600 card for those who need silence from their cooling solution. We were able to post some very good numbers with this card as well. For having two fans, we were very surprised that this card wasn't louder than it was. It fits in one slot (but please don't block the fan), and has a fan on the front as well as one on the back. This GeForce FX 5950 solution is very intriguing. MSI has very good all-round offerings this time, and we hope that they will keep it up for the next round. NVIDIA GPUs are what get strapped to MSI cards, and we have seen a lot of very nice-looking solutions from this camp.
